Hosted by John Malanca, we welcome Jordan Tishler, MD, President and Founder of ACS and the Vice President of the Female Orgasm Research Institute, and guest Suzanne Mulvehill, PhD, Executive Director and Founder of The Female Orgasm Research Institute.
John Malanca from the Association of Cannabinoid Specialists speaks with Dr. Jordan Tishler and Dr. Suzanne Mulvehill about the potential use of cannabis as a therapeutic aid for female orgasmic disorder. Dr. Mulvehill, a board-certified clinical sexologist and orgasmic disorder specialist, shares insights from her research which indicates that cannabis can significantly improve orgasm frequency, ease, and satisfaction for women experiencing orgasm difficulties. The study utilized the Female Sexual Function Index (FSFI) and revealed that over 52% of women faced challenges with orgasms, with cannabis showing a 70-72% improvement in orgasm-related outcomes. Cannabinoid products, particularly through inhalation, have shown efficacy, and the specialists discuss the importance of proper dosing and the psychological factors involved in achieving orgasms.
They address issues of safety, consent, and the broader implications of sexual health, emphasizing the importance of clinical guidance rather than a DIY approach to cannabis use. The discussion highlights that while cannabis helps in creating conducive mental states for sexual experiences, a thorough understanding of dosage and method is crucial for effective results.
