Alicia Schaal, MS, RN, BSN

Alicia Schaal is a registered nurse and healthcare leader bridging clinical medicine and cannabis regulation. As a former state director of patient services, she led statewide patient advocacy, education, and licensing efforts within a medical cannabis regulatory program.

With more than two decades of nursing experience in solid organ transplant, interventional radiology, trauma, and surgical services, Alicia brings a strong clinical foundation to policy and regulatory work. She also founded Midwest Cannabis Professionals, LLC, a consulting firm providing medical cannabis education and clinical guidance for dispensary operations.

Alicia holds a Master of Science in Medical Cannabis Science and Therapeutics from the University of Maryland and bachelor’s degrees in Nursing and Public Health. Her work centers on patient safety, clinical excellence, and evidence-based cannabis policy.
